Role Overview:
As a Transmission Engineer, you will lead the development and design of transmission networks for mobile BTS systems. Your role will involve overseeing the installation, integration, and deployment of transmission equipment, addressing issues, and ensuring routine maintenance. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Develop and design transmission networks, ensuring optimal coverage, capacity, and reliability.
🔹 Manage the installation and integration of transmission equipment at BTS sites, adhering to specifications and timelines.
🔹 Configure and commission transmission devices like microwave radios and optical fiber systems to establish communication links.
🔹 Monitor transmission links and network elements to resolve issues related to quality, capacity, and reliability.
🔹 Troubleshoot problems and perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth network operations.
🔹 Analyze traffic and network utilization to project capacity needs and plan network enhancements.
🔹 Optimize transmission parameters and configurations to boost network performance and efficiency.
🔹 Maintain documentation of network configurations and equipment, and compile performance reports.
🔹 Ensure compliance with all regulatory, industry, and engineering standards.
🔹 Collaborate with RF engineers, core network engineers, and other teams to integrate and manage transmission networks effectively.
Requirements:
🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
🔹 10+ years of proven experience in telecommunications transmission engineering, preferably in the mobile BTS sector.
🔹 In-depth knowledge of transmission technologies such as microwave, optical fiber, and IP/MPLS.
🔹 Hands-on experience with transmission equipment from leading vendors such as Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, etc.
🔹 Proficiency in network planning and optimization tools.
🔹 Excellent English communication and teamwork skills.
