Role Overview:
Join Techner as a Transmission Engineer and take charge of developing and designing transmission networks for mobile BTS systems. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the installation, deployment, and integration of transmission equipment, troubleshooting transmission-related issues, and conducting routine maintenance activities. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Develop and design transmission networks for mobile BTS systems, ensuring optimal coverage, capacity, and reliability.
🔹 Coordinate the installation, deployment, and integration of transmission equipment at BTS sites, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and project timelines.
🔹 Configure and commission transmission equipment such as microwave radios, optical fiber systems, and other networking devices to establish communication links between BTS sites and the core network.
🔹 Monitor the performance of transmission links and network elements to identify and resolve issues related to transmission quality, capacity, and reliability.
🔹 Troubleshoot and diagnose transmission-related problems, and perform routine maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of transmission equipment and networks.
🔹 Analyze traffic patterns and network utilization to forecast capacity requirements and plan for network expansion or optimization as needed.
🔹 Optimize transmission parameters, configurations, and routing protocols to improve network performance, reliability, and efficiency.
🔹 Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, equipment inventory, and maintenance activities. Prepare reports on network performance, capacity utilization, and maintenance activities as required.
🔹 Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in telecommunications transmission engineering.
🔹 Work closely with cross-functional teams including RF engineers, core network engineers, site acquisition teams, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation of transmission networks within the BTS ecosystem.
Requirements:
🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
🔹 10+ years of proven experience in telecommunications transmission engineering, preferably in the mobile BTS sector.
🔹 In-depth knowledge of transmission technologies such as microwave, optical fiber, and IP/MPLS.
🔹 Hands-on experience with transmission equipment from leading vendors such as Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, etc.
🔹 Proficiency in network planning and optimization tools.
🔹 Excellent English communication and teamwork skills.
