About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Verizon Transport Engineers with a strong background in transport networks, routing, and integration support. This role requires close coordination with U.S.-based delivery teams, supporting daily operations, network deployments, and transport-related activities across large-scale Verizon projects. Prior Verizon experience is a key requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Project Managers and field teams to manage daily scheduling and execution
  • Collaborate closely with U.S. delivery teams to align priorities and ensure timely project delivery
  • Track progress, document activities, and ensure project milestones are met
  • Support router configuration, troubleshooting, and software upgrade/rollback activities
  • Assist in cutover planning, execution, traffic migration, and validation processes
  • Work on transport network deployments including HUB and CRAN hub environments
  • Configure and support site equipment across macro, centralized, and small cell deployments
  • Handle fronthaul and backhaul configurations including dark fiber mappings
  • Support carrier aggregation configurations on router-switched data planes (VPLS)
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular status updates

Requirements:

  • Strong experience working on Verizon transport networks, with proven ability to coordinate across global and U.S.-based teams
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia routers (7705, 7250, 7750), including configuration, troubleshooting, CLI usage, and software upgrades/rollback
  • Experience with HUB sites, CRAN architectures, and transport deployments across macro, centralized RAN (vDU/BBU/eNB), and small cell environments
  • Solid understanding of fronthaul/backhaul concepts including CPRI/eCPRI, dark fiber mapping, and IP backhaul
  • Experience with cutovers, traffic migration, carrier aggregation (VPLS), and end-to-end network validation
  • Strong knowledge of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and optical transport networks, along with network fundamentals
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
